Biography

Renee Pelan is a Senior Specialist in the Community, Access, Retention and Empowerment Office (CARE). She leads the Living-Learning Community for Engineers, Architects, and Planners (LEAP) which supports programs and initiatives for engineering and architecture students, as well as focuses on program assessments within the CARE office. Renee teaches ENGR 1195.02 which focuses on professional development, visiting engineering sites to learn about engineering applications, and pairing students with professional mentors in industry to explore career paths and learn more about the experiences their mentors have had in industry. Renee is also resident a director for the Japanese American Design Experience (JADE) program in May of 2024. Renee also serves as an advisor to OSU's Beta Chapter of the Phi Sigma Rho. 

Renee completed her M.S. degree in Industrial & Human Factors Engineering and a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Wright State University.
