From Dean Williams: Let’s reconnect!
Since becoming dean of The Ohio State University College of Engineering in 2011, I’ve had the privilege to meet thousands of the engineering and architecture alumni who make our college great.
In 2016 and beyond, I’m hoping to connect with many thousands more of our fantastic alumni and friends.
As you may recall from the last Issue of Buckeye Engineering, nearly half of our 59,000+ alumni reside in Ohio, and more Buckeye engineers and architects reside in four of Ohio’s largest cities than any other city in the nation.
I’ll be hitting the road this summer to visit with alumni across the Buckeye state. Why? Because that’s what you do in the summer, you travel to meet friends and family, to spend time together and reconnect.
In addition to good food and refreshments, we’ll provide updates on key activities and initiatives of the college. There will also be plenty of time for you to meet and network with fellow alumni and friends.
Most importantly, I want to hear from you! Come share your thoughts and ideas, and ask any questions you have about the college and our future plans.
Please mark your calendars to join us for the Dean’s Roadshow as we visit Cincinnati and Dayton during the first week of June and in Akron/Canton, Toledo, Cleveland and Columbus, June 26-30. The schedule is posted below and complete details will be shared as they are finalized.
For those alumni who don’t reside in Ohio, the college will continue to host regional events nationwide in 2016 and beyond. Events are currently planned this spring in Washington, DC, in April, and in southern California and Detroit in May. I’m sure additional opportunities will be planned throughout the year. Details for each event will be added to our events calendar and emailed to alumni who reside in the area. Not receiving our emails and invitations? Update your information online.
I hope you will join us!
