Duo receives national geospatial intelligence award

Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska, civil, environmental and geodetic engineering professor and department chair, and Charles Toth, civil, environmental and geodetic engineering professor of research, recently received the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation Academic Achievement Award. The award commends the achievements of a top graduate of a nationally recognized geospatial intelligence academic program. This is the second time the duo has received a USGIF award, with the first coming in 2005 for research on a personal navigator relevant to national security.

In the past 15 years, Professors Brzezinska and Toth have significantly influenced the future of geospatial intelligence by advancing state-of-the-art geospatial data acquisition and processing technologies.
