Grad programs receive high marks
To help prospective grad students better evaluate their options, Graduateprograms.com compiled and analyzed more than 70,000 ratings posted on the site by graduate students attending more than 1,600 different programs across the country.
Several engineering specialties at Ohio State also received favorable evaluations:
- electrical engineering at 2nd
- chemical and biomolecular engineering at 5th
- biomedical engineering at 23rd.
Nearly 1,700 students are enrolled in the College of Engineering’s 12 graduate programs. Buckeye engineering graduate students also have access to more than 40 research centers and laboratories in the college—including the Spine Research Institute, Center for Manufacturing and Design Excellence, and the Center for Electron Microscopy and Analysis—plus premier facilities throughout the university.
Graduateprograms.com, a major online resource for prospective and current graduate students across the nation, compiled the rankings using data gathered between September 1, 2012 and September 30, 2014. Graduateprograms.com assigns 15 ranking categories to each graduate program at each graduate school. Rankings cover a variety of student topics, such as academic competitiveness, career support, financial aid, and quality of network.
