In memoriam: Distinguished alumnus Huber Buehrer

Huber H. Buehrer, distinguished alumnus of The Ohio State University College of Engineering, passed away on August 10, 2014. 

The Maumee, Ohio native received his architecture degree from The Ohio State University in 1951 after serving in the Navy. He was recognized with the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the College of Engineering in 2001. Throughout his career, he founded and operated two architectural firms in Maumee, which specialized in the design of schools and churches. During the energy crisis of the late 1970s, Buehrer traveled the country giving workshops on his acclaimed process to estimate energy use.
