Online engineering graduate program ranks among best in U.S.

The Ohio State University College of Engineering’s online graduate program ranks among the best in the nation in survey results recently published by U.S. News & World Report. Ohio State is ranked 23rd in the 2014 Best Online Graduate Engineering Programs rankings, which factor student engagement, faculty credentials, student services, learning technologies, and peer reputation. 

The College of Engineering offers an online Master of Science in Welding Engineering from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. The department began teaching online courses during the 1998-99 academic year. The online master’s program launched in 2003. Course activities, materials and interactions are hosted on Carmen, Ohio State’s online learning management system, and CarmenConnect, the university’s version of Adobe Connect.
