Nuclear Engineering Faculty Members Awarded $1.5 Million

The Department of Energy has notified two Nuclear Engineering Program faculty members within the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering that it will award funding for their research through the Nuclear Energy University Programs initiative. Professor Tunc Aldemir and Assistant Professor Lei (Raymond) Cao, NEP will receive three grants worth a combined $1.5 million for their projects supporting NEUP’S Mission Supporting Transformative Research initiative and NEUP’s Reactor Concepts Research Development and Demonstration initiative.
