Engineering Faculty Honored with Named Professorships

The Ohio State University College of Engineering has appointed two faculty members from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering to named professorships. Mohammad Samimy has been named the John B. Nordholt Endowed Professor and Ahmet Kahraman has been appointed as a Howard D. Winbigler designated professor. Both appointments will be effective July 1, 2011.

“I am delighted that two of our faculty members have been recognized by the College of Engineering as deserving of these honors. Their contributions to the department, college and university have helped us to earn an outstanding reputation for research, teaching and scholarship,” said K. “Cheena” Srinivasan, chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
