The conference will take place in Rome on May 26, immediately following the May 24-25 G8 Energy Ministerial. The low-carbon conference will focus on the role of public-private partnerships in low-carbon technology deployment, in particular in the automotive sector. The Italian speaker will be Mr. Rinaldo Rinolfi of FIAT Powertrain Technologies, and the session will be moderated by Turin Polytechnic Dean Profumo. The program will advance recommendations recently made by the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the Italian Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, among other science academies.
