The Dave and Margie Williams Distinguished Lecture Series

Dave & Margie Williams

The Dave and Margie Williams Distinguished Lecture Series Fund was established as an endowment at The Ohio State University in 2019 with a generous gift from College of Engineering Dean Emeritus David B. Williams and his wife, Margie Williams.

The annual distribution from the fund supports lectures in the College of Engineering to be held at least annually and no more than twice during the academic year. It is the Williams' preference that the lecturers chosen have a background in a technical discipline and be employed outside of a university setting, preferably in business and industry, government or a foundation. Distinguished lecturers are chosen at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Engineering, with attention to diversity in all aspects.

The Williams have expressed a hope that distinguished lecturers will set aside time while they are on campus to interact with students, faculty and staff outside the lecture itself.
