Job Shadow Program
Hosted by Engineering Career Services, the Job Shadow Program is a one-day opportunity for Ohio State engineering students to spend time at an employer’s site, observe engineers and learn more about professional roles related to their major. This experience takes place at various company locations throughout Ohio during Ohio State's Spring Break week. Since Job Shadow events are only one day--you may sign up for more than one!
Important Dates:
- Job Shadow days: Monday, March 14—Friday, March 18, 2016
- Student sign-ups: Thursday, January 28—Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Engineering Career Services (Hitchcock 199) office. Visit the ECS website for complete sign-up details.
Participation requirements:
- Undergraduate and graduate engineering students registered with ECS
- Be available during business hours, March 14-18, 2016
- Responsible for transportation to employer site
- Freshman Engineering Honors (FEH) and Choose Ohio First for Engineering Entrepreneurship (COFFEE) Scholars are also eligible

There are 590 job shadow spots available (companies have multiple spots), with events are located all over the state.
