The featured speaker for this event is Giorgio Rizzoni, Ford Motor Company chair in electromechanical systems and also a professor at The Ohio State University in the departments of mechanical and aerospace engineering, and electrical and computer engineering, awell as the director of the Center for Automotive Research. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). His research activities are related to advanced propulsion systems for ground vehicles, energy efficiency, alternative fuels, the interaction between vehicles and the electric power grid, vehicle safety and intelligence, and policy and economic analysis of alternative fuels and vehicle fuel economy. 


Giorgio Rizzoni will present a global picture of transportation fuels and possible alternatives, and depict a future in which personal transportation systems will be a key to sustainability for the megacities of the future.

The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. for registration and networking, then lunch and the featured program will go from noon to 1 p.m.
