Ohio State EcoCAR 3 and Ohio State PRSSA present: GM Crisis Communications Best Practices

Ohio State EcoCAR 3 and Ohio State Public Relations Student Society of America are teaming up to present: GM Crisis Communications Best Practices featuring Dave Barthmuss, West Coast Communications Manager at General Motors. 

Hear Dave speak about his experience with crisis communications. Dave was appointed as the GM spokesperson responsible for communicating the end of the EV1, the first electric vehicle ever sold to the public. The backlash that ensued was unimaginable and included a documentary titled "Who Killed the Electric Vehicle?" where Dave was highlighted as a villain. After successful communication practices, Dave renewed GM's image. 

After Dave's talk, EcoCAR team members will lead tours of the Center for Automotive Research.
