Welcome to the CARE Office

The Community, Access, Retention, and Empowerment Office (CARE) plays a unique role in strategic enrollment planning, supporting student persistence in STEM, and providing educational opportunities for staff and faculty. The CARE Office was developed to support the University's land-grant mission, shared values and the College of Engineering's commitment to creating an environment where everyone thrives.

The CARE Mission: Through shared responsibility and collaboration with university and college-wide partners, we advance inclusive excellence by:

  • integrating the University's mission and shared values into the daily operations of the college
  • supporting student motivation for entering and persisting in engineering, architecture, and planning
  • implementing inclusive and equity-centered initiatives for students, staff and faculty
