Undergraduate Student Academic Success
DOI Student Academic Success supports the College of Engineering strategic goal of increasing and retaining a diverse population of students in engineering. Student Academic Success staff work to: provide and link students with resources and opportunities that will support their academic and personal pursuits; create programs and activities that develop relationships among students with similar interests while assuring that all engineering students understand and appreciate diversity as prerequisites for excellence in an increasingly diverse and global society.
DOI Signature Programs: Minority Engineering PREFACE summer bridge program and seminar course, and Women in Engineering Learning Community (WIE LC) early arrival and seminar course.
DOI Activities: various events/workshops/panel discussions with faculty, alumni, industry partners to provide personal well-being, career exploration and professional development. Experiential Learning Workshops, Mocha Cafes, EngineeringConnect, WIE Wellness and Empow(HER)ment Sessions.
DOI Services: Supplemental instruction and tutoring, student organization and leadership support and study space.
