Buckeyes Connect in the Smart City

Columbus won the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Smart City Challenge. Hear from Carla Bailo, assistant vice president for mobility research and business development, and Joanna Pinkerton, co-director of the Honda/OSU partnership, about what this means for Cbus and the college’s role in shaping the future of transportation. As an added bonus, meet Jason Liu, owner of the J. Liu restaurants in Worthington and Dublin and proud Engineering alum! Heavy appetizers and drinks provided.

Ever wanted to work at Pixar? Curious about how motion capture really works? Or maybe you just love the combination of art and technology? Join us as Ohio State’s Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design opens its doors for an interactive tour of their new facilities in Sullivant Hall. Hear from Maria Palazzi, ACCAD director, and other faculty and students. This special installment of Buckeyes Connect is open to alumni of Arts and Sciences and Engineering, so don’t miss your chance to meet new Buckeye friends! Heavy appetizers and drinks provided.
