Bachelor of Science in Welding Engineering
The welding engineering program provides basic liberal studies and the engineering training needed to function effectively in the manufacturing industries. Welding engineering courses combine work in several engineering fields. Four cross-disciplinary areas are covered to provide a well-rounded background for subsequent studies in welding materials, design, processes and nondestructive evaluations. This is designed to prepare the student for complex research, production and applications work in modern industry.
Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the General Criteria.
Ohio State academic programs are designed to prepare students to sit for applicable licensure or certification in Ohio. If you plan to pursue licensure or certification in a state other than Ohio, please review state educational requirements for licensure and certification and state licensing board contact information at go.osu.edu/onground.
