The Ohio State University Airport
The Ohio State University Airport (Don Scott Field) has been serving the community since 1942, when the School of Aviation was built to house military and civilian pilot training programs. Currently the airport is one of only 25 university-owned airports across the country, and one of the few operated by a university in support of an aviation academic program. With respect to the learning and discovery objectives of the Ohio State University, the airport manages and operates the university’s flight education program, teaches airport related courses, and participates in outreach activities for the Center for Aviation Studies.
