Transfer students
Enrollment for transfer students in the College of Engineering is competitive. For students transferring from another institution of higher education:
- If you have fewer than 45 credits hours, you will be considered under the criteria for new students in Engineering as described in the previous sections.
- If you have more than 45 credit hours and a GPA at your previous institution of 2.8 or higher and credit for a calculus course, you will be directly enrolled as a pre-major in the program of your choice. You may not enter as an undeclared pre-major.
Students who are not eligible to directly enroll in Engineering may enroll in the Science and Technology Exploration Program in The Ohio State University’s Exploration Program (EXP).
The most current University admission information and criteria for transfer students is available at: http://undergrad.osu.edu/admissions/trcriteria.asp, and applications can be found at http://www-afa.adm.ohio-state.edu/undergrad/admissions/transferdownload.asp.

Internal transfer from another Ohio State College or Regional Campus
Students transferring from an Ohio State regional campus or other Ohio State academic college must have a 2.0 GPA and have completed Math 151 and either Chemistry 121 or Physics 131 for admission into the College of Engineering.
