Student Project Teams
Concrete Canoe
Students in this competition must design and build a working canoe entirely from concrete; then race the canoe against other universities in regional and national competition. The final product is a culmination of student ideas, workmanship, and applied consultation with working professionals in all areas of engineering.

- 2008
- Placed 4th Overall, 4th in Presentation, 4th in Product Display, and 5th in Design at the Ohio Valley Student Conference Competition.

- Placed 3rd in regional competition
- 2004
- The Best Damn Boat in the Land – 2nd overall at Regional, 2nd Final Product, 2nd Oral Presentation, 2nd Women’s Sprint, 2nd Women’s Endurance.

- 4th overall in regional
