Engineering Scholarships for Future Students

Scholarship Categories: Open to all | Minority & Women | Special or Geographical requirements

Engineering students here at OSU have access to a multitude of financial aid resources. Our engineering scholarship programs are designed to be integrated into a student’s total financial aid package.

Over $16 million in scholarships and grants paid to engineering students during the 2006-07 academic year.

We have two distinct goals that we want to accomplish with our engineering scholarship programs – recruitment and retention. In the College of Engineering we allot only about 15% of our scholarship budget to recruit New First Quarter Freshmen (NFQF). The remaining 85% is focused on retention and awarded to enrolled students based on their academic performance at OSU. For the 2006-2007 academic year the College of Engineering and the individual engineering departments combined, awarded about 1200 engineering scholarships worth approximately $1.6 million to our undergraduate students.

Please note – the list below includes engineering scholarship programs used only to recruit New First Quarter Freshman. The College of Engineering has over 150 accounts earmarked for financial support of enrolled engineering students based on their academic performance here at Ohio State. If you are not offered one of our recruiting scholarships for your freshman year, you remain eligible for funding in future years based on your academic performance. In the College of Engineering at OSU, your opportunities for funding actually increase as you progress through our curriculum.

For additional information about Engineering scholarship programs, please contact David E. Donley, College of Engineering Scholarship Coordinator (122 Hitchcock Hall, (614) 292-7694, donley.2 [@osu.edu]).
