Choose Ohio First for Engineering Entrepreneurship (COFFEE) Scholarship

The Ohio State College of Engineering will sponsor 20-40 $4,500 COFFEE Scholarships (enrolled for three quarters) for the 2010-11 academic year. To receive funding during the first year of COFFEE, students must directly enroll in the College of Engineering, follow an advisor-approved curriculum, begin the Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Minor, start a co-op/internship job search with Engineering Career Services and begin a COFFEE portfolio to document degree progress and experience.

These scholarships are renewable for a total of 9 quarters (contingent upon funding from the State of Ohio) based on progress toward the benchmarks listed in the following table:

Final Must complete minor Must have completed at least two co-op or internship work experiences

To confirm your candidacy and willingness to meet the program requirements for the COFFEE Scholarship, submit a 500-750 word Personal Statement about your goals and background as they relate to your interest in engineering and entrepreneurship. Please be sure to include your name and Ohio State e-mail address in your COFFEE Personal Statement.

The College of Engineering Scholarship Committee will select the COFFEE Scholars from the pool of students who submit the COFFEE Personal Statement by the February 15, 2010 deadline.
