The Professional Engineering Exam Refresher Course

General Information

Textbooks and Notes

No text is specified for this course; participants are encouraged to refer to the textbooks that they used in their formal education. Registrants will receive copies of appropriate lecture notes. Each registrant will also receive a National Council of Engineering Examiners (NCEE) Professional Engineering Examination Book.

Registration

Preregistration is required and applications are accepted on a first-come basis as space is limited. Payment or contract must accompany application to ensure a reservation. All checks and money orders should be payable to The Ohio State University.

Refund Policy

Full refund (less $20 processing charge) for any cancellation/withdrawal prior to first class meeting date. There are no refunds for partial attendance.

Fundamentals of Engineering Examination Review Course

Every winter quarter the College of Engineering offers a course entitled Engineering 510, Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination Review. This course is a one hour credit course that is graded pass/fail. The course consists of twenty 1.5 hour review sessions of all general engineering topics covered in the engineering licensing examination: Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Morning Examination and General Afternoon Examination. A distance learning version of the course is also currently available. The prerequisites for the course are senior standing in the College of Engineering or have an Engineering degree, or permission of instructor. OSU students may sign up for the course as they would any other OSU course everyone else must contact the Office of Continuing Education at 614-292-8860.
