- Nearly 20 student project teams offer a wide variety of hands-on engineering experience for students to get involved and work in teams.
- The Buckeye Bullet student project team, which set world and national electric vehicle land speed records in 2004, is seeking to surpass those records with the Buckeye Bullet 2, which runs on hydrogen fuel cells.
- The services of the Engineering Career Services/Co-op Program were used by 85% of the 2005-2006 bachelor's degree students.
Research
- Ohio State researchers received more than $589 million in research funding in FY 2006, a 6.6 increase over the previous year.
- In FY 2006, the College of Engineering was awarded $129 million in research funding.

Engineering Retention Statistics
From 1988 through today, retention of incoming freshmen through graduation in engineering has increased from 38% to more than 60%. The College's Fundamentals of Engineering program for first-year students, which puts real engineering experience up front, has been a major contributor to the improved retention and performance of students throughout their programs.
