The Department of Biomedical Engineering today announced the introduction of a new undergraduate major in biomedical engineering. While BME has had a graduate program since 1971 as well as an undergraduate minor program for several years, the undergraduate major received its final approval on October 7 from the Ohio Board of Regents.
The major will start with a small cadre of up to 25 exceptional students, beginning winter quarter 2009, and will continue to ramp up to a projected full capacity of 75 students per class.
