Ohio State Dean of Engineering W.A. “Bud” Baeslack III announced that Stephen B. Chaykowski has been named Executive Director for Engineering Advancement, effective July 14. He joins Ohio State from the Cleveland Clinic, where he served as senior director for development.
“Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, gained at both Ohio State and the Cleveland Clinic, to this key position,” Baeslack said. “His energizing leadership and administrative skills will be absolutely essential to the College’s success in the upcoming university-wide fundraising campaign.”
In his new position, Chaykowski will coordinate the efforts of the Office of Development and Office of Communications for the College. He will oversee all fundraising efforts and initiatives, alumni relations, print and electronic communications and the College of Engineering website.
As senior director for development at the Cleveland Clinic, Chaykowski led the development team for the Clinic’s #1 ranked Heart Hospital. Prior, he served in development roles at the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute at Ohio State, and as director of corporate and foundation relations, also at Ohio State.
A graduate of the Ohio State Fisher College of Business (BS ‘89, MS ‘92), Chaykowski resides in Granville with his wife Julie and their five sons.
