The 2009 Ohio State Solar Decathlon house was moved from an exhibit at the Columbus Zoo to the New Albany city school campus where it will serve as the K-12 Nature & Renewable Energy STEM Education Center.

Ohio State donated the net-zero energy building valued at $300,000 as part of a STEM education initiative.  The New Albany Community Foundation also received an $8,000 anonymous donation to cover the costs of moving the house to the New Albany campus.

New Albany Schools say the 800-square-foot, self-contained building will serve as a learning center for New Albany students and the greater school community. The New Albany-Plain Local School District has more information online.
