Engineers in Motion
High School Freshman & Sophmores
Date: June 15, 2008

The College of Engineering will host a week-long workshop called “Engineers in Motion” for male and female students who are currently in the 9th or 10th grade for the 07-08 school year.
This camp will be held on Sunday, June 15 - Friday, June 20, 2008. The program introduces participants to fundamental skills that improve their chances for success in engineering courses and their future careers through hands-on activities. Students will live on campus during this week.
In addition to the on-line registration form, applicants MUST submit the following materials by mail to complete the application:
- Personal Statement by applicant (No longer than one page to include why you would like to attend this camp, what you hope to gain from it, etc.)
- Teacher Recommendation (Science or Math Teacher) - This form will be e-mailed to you after completion of the on-line registration page along with your confirmation e-mail.
- Non-refundable Application Fee ($25) - checks may be made payable to The Ohio State University.
- High School Transcripts
Once all application materials are received, you will be notified by e-mail that your application is complete.
You must submit all requested materials in addition to the on-line registration to be considered for this program.
All registration materials must be postmarked by March 14, 2008 to be eligible for consideration. This program is made possible by the Honda-OSU Partnership.
All applications will be reviewed and applicants will be notified of status the week of April 1, 2008.

Future Engineers Summer Camp
Girls Grade 7
Date: August 11, 2008
Time: 9:00 am
The Future Engineers’ Summer Camp, being held Monday, August 11th through Friday, August 15th, is a program designed for female students who will enter the 8th grade in the 2008-2009 academic year. A total of 30 students will be accepted into the program. This week-long day camp is held at The Ohio State University. Established to generate excitement and enthusiasm in engineering and science, participants will explore concepts of engineering and science. The program emphasizes exploring and experiencing rather than watching and listening.

Once you have completed the on-line registration form, you will also need to mail the following items to complete your application:
(1) Teacher Recommendation in sealed envelope (form will be emailed to you once you complete online registration)

(4) Non-refundable $25 application fee.

Materials Science & Engineering Day
High School Juniors

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) invites high school juniors and sophomores, and 2 adult guests to attend the department's 2009 Materials Science & Engineering Day and Scholarship Competition.
Each student should make his/her own reservation.
