Lumley Interdisciplinary Research Awards
The Interdisciplinary Research Award recognizes interdisciplinary research accomplishments of the College faculty and research staff. The award is given to a team who has established a record of excellence in interdisciplinary research as demonstrated by co-authored publications, joint sponsored research programs, and co-advised students. The team should involve faculty or research scientists from at least two different departments. Teams can include members from other colleges. Nominations can only be made by department chairs. Each department chair can be the nominator for only one team although he can support nominations made by other chairs. The application materials will all be submitted electronically. The total nomination package must be submitted by February 27, 2009. The amount of each award to an individual team member will be up to $1000, but the total award to the team will not exceed $5000. In case the team has more than five members, the individual awards will be reduced accordingly.
