Meritorious Award
This special citation was established by the faculty of the College of Engineering in 1975 to recognize people "whose sustained and extraordinary personal service has had significant and lasting effect on the advancement of the College of Engineering." Members of the faculty and the Dean of Engineering may nominate people to be recognized.

Mark Eisenman
Mark Eisenman earned his bachelor of science in civil and environmental engineering and geodetic science from Ohio State in 1973. He was President of Korda/ Nemeth Engineering, Inc., between 1995 to 2007. Among the many buildings he designed or supervised the design of, he had the privilege and honor of working on many of the buildings on his alma mater’s campus, including the Hagerty Hall Renovation, the Math and Sciences Library, the Peter and Clara Scott Mechanical Engineering Building, the Psychology Building, the Sisson Hall Addition and Renovation, the Wetlands Research and Education Building and Wiseman Hall Medical Research Facility.
Additionally, he counted among his projects the John Gilbert Reese Center on the Newark Campus, the Life and Physical Sciences Building on the Lima Campus, and the Ohio State University/OARDC Horticulture and Entomology Research Center and the OSU Poultry Science Facility, both in Wooster.
While he was proud of his professional accomplishments, he was especially devoted to his community service work. He was past president of the Dublin- Worthington Rotary Club, Vice President of the Worthington Arts Council, and twice-past chairman of the Worthington Chautauqua committees, the first time having served as part of the Worthington Bicentennial Committee. He also was most pleased to have his company contribute to the sponsorship of the Mini Baja Design Competition.
Eisenman was married to Dorie-Ellen, whom he met at Ohio State, and was father to Brian, Kelly and Tracie.
Eisenman passed away in 2008.
