Undergraduate Program
Program educational objectives
- The undergraduate curriculum in aviation is designed to prepare a student with the foundation upon which to develop and function as a professional responsible for the design, management, and operation of tomorrow's safe and efficient national and international aviation systems.
- Aviation is a high-technology, competitive business, operating in a tough regulatory structure. In order to provide the aviation student with an ability to deal with complex technical problems, the curriculum contains an engineering science and analysis component, in addition to the engineering freshman program.
- Other components of the program include principles of transportation management, aviation, and a technical elective grouping which permits the student to pursue some degree of specialization in her or his program of study.
- Approved technical elective groupings include: aircraft systems and management.
- Students are encouraged to contact the department for additional information.
- Each student admitted to the program will be assigned an adviser who can provide personal guidance.
- The bachelor's program is designed for students interested in an aviation program containing a strong engineering science and analysis component.
The following curriculum and list of minimum requirements for the degree Bachelor of Science in Aviation are effective for all students entering the university without prior college credit.

Entry courses: Aviation 300
Annual numerical ceiling: 30
Acceptance criteria: cumulative point hour ratio upon completion of Math 153,
Physics 133, Engineering 181, 183, English 110, and Aviation 300, 310.
